What is reiki?
Reiki is an energetic form of hands-on healing which can bring a universal form of healing energy or ‘Qi’ from its source through the Reiki practitioner to benefit the recipient. This Qi energy is present in all of us, but when diminished can lead the body to become out of balance and ill.
How can it help?
Reiki is a gentle form of energetic healing which can help with rebalancing the body and therefore as an aid to healing. Recipients generally find the treatment deeply relaxing and restorative.
What happens in a session of reiki?
Reiki is given with the person clothed lying on a treatment couch and the therapist gently places their hands on different parts of the body. It is deeply relaxing.
When can reiki be given?
Reiki is safe to give to anyone affected by breast cancer and can be useful in the alleviation of both physical and emotional side effects.
Number and length of appointments
Reiki is generally given in a course of three to six treatments according to need.
